Restart

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Oct 26, 2012

There are promises broken
But you seem to not care
Leaving me was so sudden
My heart was unprepared
For the horrible train of events
That shadowed over our numerous reflections

You wanted too much
Even though you had it all
I tried to be perfect
But it was outweighed by my flaws
Though, you promised never to leave my side
The door slammed between us

Love-sick songs are starting
To sound real stupid to me now
Sometimes I have to remember
That once more, my feet touch the ground
The phone doesn't ring like it used to
And there's no messages on my cell
The awkward silences when you come around
Seem to know us too well

And I wonder if I'll ever erase
Your lingering existence
Or do I just live around the gaping
Hole in the middle of my heart
How can I possibly ignore
When things get too intense
If you're not the last chapter in my book
Then where do I begin to restart

    There are promises broken
this is really disappointment for everyone

    My heart was unprepared
i really like this line because how can we prepare for the unexpected sadness

Then where do I begin to restart
I think the end of this line need a question mark
Then where do I begin to restart?
    I don't know it's right or not?

Overall in this poem i truly related with some lines
    nice written 5/5
