Wow this is an amazing piece filled with thoughts so reflective and thorough.
I love the way you have engaged the reader with the opening of the poem using three words so simple yet so deep
"I want love." I love the way you have extended these three words into something much more deeper by saying:
    "When it's the right time."
I believe everyone can relate to this in the sense that everyone falls in love or finds love when they feel ready for it, some find it when they are young and others find it when they are older.

Not when it's the right age

    ^^
I believe this part really sinks in, love is not pre mapped for us, it does not find us when we turn a certain age and it does not end when we change age. I love the way you have reflected this it is so true, people seem to think they know the right age for love yet its not true.

Love will find me...only the man in the sky knows for certain.
    ^^
I love the use of the ellipsis it was very effective connecting two thoughts together like pieces in a puzzle showing the reader that you are certain of this as God can back you up on this. I like the way you have referred to him as the man in the sky, it's very creative!

You're just a friend now, but you ask me what this kind of love is- and what it consists of. What it will be and remain.

    ^^
There are so many types of love, not all love is romantic or relationship love, love involves friendship and I love how you have displayed this.

I beg myself to really understand.

    The truth: I don't know.

Historians can cite love as a lust or as an entrapment that takes struggle and heartache

    ^^
This is amazing! How can we love if we don't know the meaning of love? I love the way you have brought in historians and other perspectives as the meaning of love is so vase and people usually make up their own meaning, some people play love as a game, only hurting themselves and others in the end, some think love is gentle and kind and continue to become crushed when love shows its ugly side, love has so many definitions determined by every individual and their experiences...

You have used so many effective techniques such as retorical questions, repetition of certain words that truly emphasis the emotion and the importance of love and coming back to the person which brings the reader back to the linkage of the title.
I love the way you have concluded this piece with such as stong use of imagery such as the sunset and the serenade, painting this scene of angels and people being together until the very end, puts a beautiful touch to the ending of this amazing set of thoughts stringed together to make something so indepth and creative!

Maryanne I feel as though I can not break this poem down like many will do because it is so beautiful, so inspiring, so breathtaking, so I will leave that for others to do...

Id like to comment on this piece as a whole......you did phenomenal. Your metaphors flowed so naturally I could tell it didn't take you long to think of how to phrase your feelings, I was so impressed here. I have not read such a thought provoking piece like this....ever really..

Now id like to comment on a personal level. Maryanne you are so so bright for your age darling. I'm so proud of you and who you're becoming....just know, love and relationships is so hard for your age group. I was there 4 yrs ago...getting out of a 3 yr relationship with a high school sweetheart, I met who I thought was my "forever" at 20...and he wasn't...our minds are not ready , not wise enough to handle love at the age and I feel it is better to wait, to mature, to pray and let God bring the correct person into your life rather than going out and finding all these boys because we are hungry for love. I wish I could have started over at your age. Stay as smart as you are, keep learning about love, study it, find biblical passages about it, and focus on you right now and college and wait until you're older and ready to enter the dating world...

You and your poetry are incredibly beautiful!
