I have two senarios to this poem but either or neither may be correct...still it intrigued me.

My first thought was that you were both students and just living in a cheap apartment that was pretty crap but...you had each other so...really it didn't matter.

My second thought...this could be an affair of snatched moments...motel rooms etc not sure.

To be honest..I commented/nominated this simply because I loved how you described the background....your visuals were outstanding in my opinion...
