Prayer of compassion

May the Lord fill my heart with compassion for the less fortunate. May he bring this love to pass and put me into submission. His compassion for me was abundant at the cross, filling our desires for eternal life. Now this heart is full of life, thirsty for his cure . Lord, fill my prayers with your plan to bless this mind and fill it with compassion to feel my surroundings, to know what allows darkness and to bring a smile to the faces of the weak. Show me what to pray and ask for in you name. Give me the courage to bring favour to your kingdom. May your compassion be to those that know not your name and mercy to the non- believers. Lord, may your holy spirit fill me with compassion only from you, this is my everlasting prayer
