Tears

by Edgar Jones   Oct 30, 2012

There was a time when words and emotions forged poetry
The symbiosis of introspection, connectedness, and soul
But these once delicate pieces are now written stoically
For the gushing fountain of inspiration has finally let go
And the sun ascends with a half-lit simmer over the sky
Bereaving the warmth of the barren and desolate land
Yet, life doesn't cease with sweltering tears in its eyes
Reminiscing the pacifying touch of nature's hand
