One day

by Edgar Jones   Oct 31, 2012

Let this love pot melt in my arms, the dew of your skin grazing mine
Twinkly stars shimmering off the corner of your eye, letting me know it's time
Soft whispers slowly gushing into my ear, listening to your secrets and fears
Knowing my willingness to wipe away any past, current, or future tears
Connecting, feeling, and loving, the stages of intimacy and companionship
Laughter, heartaches, and tears, the components of an evolving relationship
Holding hands, locking lips, the pleasures of your presence
Sitting back, smiling at those moments as I reminisce
Ah, the wonders of spending our days together
Let's take on this journey and come closer for the better
