Little Things

by X Harlea X   Nov 1, 2012

Walking around downtown
mind in a foggy haze, people all around.
Where are you?
Could you be feeling like me?

Your smile was the brightest part
of my day, making me see a fresh start.
Until I couldn't see the big picture,
Now such a wreck I am without you.

I realize its all about
the little things you do.
The way your smile lit your face,
how you held me and said I was safe.

How you picked me up when I was down,
told me you loved me without a sound.
Your voice drowned out bad thoughts,
it was my heart then you caught.

I should be over it,
but instead I'm still breaking bit by bit.
My heart with you remains,
while I remember all the little things.

Sad, how you can remember the little things so fondly, but have them break you at the same time =(
