There he laid peacefully, taking in his last breath of air.
We lost a friend, a companion, this was not fair.

I heard you passed away today, my heart sank low.
in my mind I knew your halo you earned was going to glow.

Your beautiful big brown eyes, your brown coat, and your
belly of white.

I rememeber snuggling up together in bed at night.
Your ears flopped up, like a soldier for me you would fight.

Whenever I was sad, even if I cried.
You licked my tears away, you comforted me or at least you tried.

I was myself around you I never had to hide.

But today I learnt that memories are all I have
as you turned to ash.
Our memories before my eyes they flash.

Yet another great soul has left me behind
Friends like you are hard to find.

You are the purest soul I know, i wish so soon you
didn't have to go.

Such an amazing pup you were,
One of my dearest friends, made of fur.

In my dreams ill see you when I sleep.
Like a scrap book, pictures
our memories ill always keep.
