Emptiness

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 3, 2012

Empty inside
Like a drum
Waiting for someone to fill me with a rhythm
I've forgotten how to play

Almost miss it
Music, that use to course through my head
The happiness it imbibed
Serenity in chaos

It became a razor blade
Bleeding my thoughts
Leaving me empty
Numb

Rather, I suppose
I did it to myself
Used it as a weapon
An emotion

Art is a love
that can only live in happiness
a short while
As we have bound ourselves to do

Creatures of love and sorrow
Who hate them both
Yet somehow need them
Like air or water

Desire and repulsion
An ongoing struggle
To be who we are and are not
Empty, yet full

That was my favorite stanza in this.

This poem was... Amazing. Emotions run through it greatly, and overall it dragged the reader into it. Good job
