Prosperous

by MyHalozChokinMe   Nov 4, 2012

You hoard your affections in the fear that freely
spent, they would somehow lose value.

Become trite.

Worse than worthless.

You see love and affection as a commodity.

Subject to the laws of supply and demand.

Diamonds to be meted out but I
know the truth of diamonds.

Common rock is what they are and are only worth
the value assigned, false systems not withstanding.

Love and affection both, like joy, do not diminish with use. But like oxygen, hydrogen and helium, common elements all give life when spent...

Becoming a creative force.

An ever-expanding universe.

I choose to spend freely,
with a look,
a touch,
a kiss-

Bringing light and life and love.

Sharing all that I have and believe myself richer for it.

Aww Cara I truly adore this poem, it is really beautiful and not like your other recent ones.

The way you related to the diamonds is so very interesting, it is something which was meant to be valuable but now a days people go for the most expensive diamonds because they think the price of it sounds better than the diamond would even look anyway.

Your ending is quite inspiring, just think, if every human thought this way, would there ever have been a war??

    Oh just love it!!
