Thirsty

by Meme   Nov 5, 2012

Tasteless, were the cups
I held in my hands, even
the deceiving aromas failed
to capture my attention. I
drank searching for a way
to step into a motionless
state of solitude.

A drunken strayer is what
I became, so numb so that
my tongue could only savor
the burning bitterness of
loneliness, and my body was
solely dependent on the
stillness of its surroundings.

- In ceaseless insomniac -

Then one sip of your words
and I wanted more; I needed
more. The way they tasted
against my lips paralyzed
my thoughts. So don't tell
me this is forbidden, don't
deny my senses from being
lost in a euphoric coma.

I don't have a suggestion for the title just yet, I'll think about that one...um...the poem, uhh, what can I say? Totally awesome, amazing, astounding, breathtaking, captivating, delicate, yet strong and bold....

If I could comment on the poem properly, I would, I am just in shock, in awe and just unable to put it into words.

    Title suggestion: Thirsty

MEME OMGGGGG!! What in the...this is so breathtaking, which is usually what love poems are to me, but this is a different type of breathtaking...I kept gasping the whole time I was reading and felt like I had no idea where your feelings would go with this...

That last stanza, I had to a giggle a bit because it reminded me of my writing and personality. I loved the "Dont tell me" part, yeah! Get in their face! Thats how I like it :)

    Totally nominating this! Flawless!
