Where Did the Words Go?

As I turned the page, the letters fizzled away
"B" trickled down escaping my vision
"E" melted off the paper like a crayon in may
All of the words in my book I could read
Sank to their world I can not see.

Frustrated I was, for those words are what made
the rules and the rhymes that I read
It seemed at the time; I am blind, I am blank,
I am all that the words left of me.

I searched through the night trying to find
a saying, a phrase, anything in sight.
I exploded in a firework scream of screams
and decided, well then I must write.

So I took a pen and wrote my little friends
and sighed as they came back to me
The words were fleeing from what I could see
to give life to my own words I created to BE.
