Masquerade

by Chelsey & Maple Tree   Nov 7, 2012

Let us begin our long journey
of tattooed redemption,
long awaited sighs of nothing,
I'm tired of the masquerade.

Carve this voyage amongst
the mountains bordering
the rocky climb to your
cold stoned heart.

Thorn devoured bed, is
where I lay, reminded
of all the roses you tossed,
while turning your back on love.

My life now lived in
a pot of sorrowed soil
and ironically, I can't
stop praying for this
rain to go away.

WOW Ladies, you two are amazing writers in your own right, yet together, damn it, you are like perfect.
The sadness here was raw and felt like it was written by one person, it flowed so well and was really awesome.

    AMAZING!
