Cemetery Dream

by Maple Tree   Nov 10, 2012

I walked the pathway,
of my destiny in a dream.

Emerald fathers and
marbled stone etch
my journey with beauty.

The undertaker calls my
restless heart in a whisper,
ignoring his call, until now.

I ache for my ashes to be
caressed by his loving touch,
and as much as this sorrow
hurts the eyes that read the lines,
it's truly a dream of mine to reside
in a place of peace, home away from
home...

"Oh restless spirit dance
with me, the grassy meadow calls,
and in the light you shall find,
my love is carved in stone"

That's a superb piece that sunk deep in my skin... Beautiful, and very moving!

Dark and filled with sadness, can I add some colors to the poem's page? It'll look nicer:P

:O My heart has just somersaulted a thousand times in the time it took me to read this poem...

This is heartbreakingly sad, it is filled with that beauty that you always bring into your poetry but there is a heaviness and a desperate sadness to the piece that breaks my heart, and makes me want to reach out and hug you...to take away the sadness, the bad times, and just to love you...

Beautiful yet sad, and not even going to try and say any more, it just doesn't need words, none at all,
I felt it, and I feel it

    Love you,
