In Vain (Tanka)

by Meme   Nov 10, 2012

Just like your eyes; dear,
some lullabies seldomly
cry when murmured in
between the lurking silence,
but how futile is my sound.

Everything might go in vain if one does not want to listen. One must listen and observe in order to understand someone else. The murmurs are only there in my opinion when one wishes to be heard but is afraid to speak up. Or the opposite, when one wishes to not be heard but needs to be speak up. Either way, the sound of the murmurs go in vain. Because if one murmurs to not be heard .. it draws attention. Or if one murmurs to be heard .. it might not be.

So over all, a sad piece.
