Being too nice

Very true, I think a lot of people can relate to this! Being nice often leads to being walked on- it makes you vulnerable and people often see it as meaning that they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Nice people often have to put up with the pain of being taken for granted- this poem shows this well. I agree with Hannah and Tara that this poem can be a bit wordy- however I think your vocabulary usage is quite nice, if only you could find a more concise way of getting the message across?

Great message here...it seems like the people who are nice seem to get stepped on and used. I think there should be a boundary of being nice and too nice...once you go to the too nice, you are pretty much setting yourself up to get hurt.

I like the rhymes and the word usage, however I thought at times they were a bit too much. Overall, I liked it.

I love the message here, and the honesty of it, sometimes nicety becomes a trait that is overly used, to capture and confine, and sometimes there is the too nice when you don't deserve it, or sympathetic too nice.

I wasn't overly crazy on the long words, especially at the ends of the lines, a bit too wordy for me, but that's just my opinion, and at times the flow was a bit shaky with them and the rhymes...

but the message and the creativity here was pretty awesome... nonetheless

I completely agree with you MM... Being nice is like being a double edged sword which is dangerous in all aspects and people just take us for granted.... I loved the way you conveyed this feeling..... Superb!!!
