The Twig

by Maple Tree   Nov 12, 2012

Lost and alone
upon a twig
I rest,
swaying
to the
chirps
of
a
sparrow's
optimism,
rhythm
rocks
back and forth
to the winds
ever
changing
bustle
of
a
nightmare
vision.

I am balanced
on nothing
and held
by everything
and everyone
I hold dear
to my
soul....

I just can't believe that twig holds your big ole butt... LOL...

Seriously though... this is beautifully penned with a touch of saddness, yet has a sense of peacefulness...
