Glorious Blaze

by Jack Nightengale   Nov 13, 2012

It was beautiful to see what I had done,
No one could see but heard the sound of my gun
It didn't take long for authorities to arrive,
Didn't really matter since I left no one alive.

The area was surround by people that want to hunt me,
My escape seemed like it had been flawe but, I had something for them to see.
I found myself to the towns armory,
That alone promised me a brutal glory.

I lit the fuse and created a fire,
I would soon be done and ready to retire.
As I started to walk shots were fired,
A few to the back as I try to run but my legs get tired.

An explosion goes off and set the town a blaze,
A sight that stunned all and put them in a daze.
No one could escape my deadly attack,
It seemed too late for me, no way I could get back.

I crawled as much as I could and found myself under a tree,
I thought this was the end, I thought I was free.
The the shackles were put on and the chains that bound,
Now I'm still hunted tracked down by a hound.

I await that time, that one single day,
When I finally get silenced and won't have anything to say.
I still think back to glorious day,
When this Monster set fire to the town and everything in its way.
