A luminous dream

Destiny knocked on my door one day,
claiming to be omniscient.

'I've been your shadow', she said,
'monitoring your past and your present,
but, I come here now to tell you that
your future hasn't been written yet.
Therefore, I am asking you
What do you want?'

Alacrity filled my heart as I replied
'I want to live life as it should be lived.
I want to search the world for love,
to taste the best food,
to smile
and take pictures with random strangers,
to go skydiving
or to just dive in the ocean.'

'Wait', she said interrupting my eagerness,
'What does this dream mean to you?'

I giggled,
then, using a sagacious tone, I answered:

'A flamboyant dream
illuminating my path
towards a fresh start.'

She smiled and said
'What else?'

'I want to experience the
true energy of nature,
and to see the
beauties of the world,'
I finished.

'then all you have to do now is wait',
Destiny has begun.
