Marvellous piece Amreen!!! Sometimes we feel expectations as a mirage in a desert for those who feel thirsty and would if their wishes become true but how dissapointed when they find them just a myth. We have an Arabic saying "winds come with what the ships don't crave". This is, however, right except for those who have a perfect trust and believe in God and as a result get totally prepared for such moments. |

Such a beautiful metaphor you've crafted here! |
This is so profound and sounded blissful to the ears when read. I loved how you kept repeating the 1st line, it added a degree of poetic beauty. The message that it entails is so beautifully conveyed. The 1st and 3rd depict optimism while the 2nd and 4th depict pessimism. |

How true this write is!! Expectation just builds us up and it with just one pin prick all is lost...I like the message here...good one! |

I really enjoyed this..and I'm not usually a fan of rhyming poetry as of late..you've made me recall why I used to adore it so much. |

Some prefer to be a dreamer, others are realists...somewhere in the middle is where we should reside, I feel:) |

"Expectations are like a bubble, |
The bubble could pop at any momment. I love how you compare the two! It's so sadly true though. I have about stopped blowing bubbles of expectations. Let what happens happen. Great piece, I really like it. =) |
