Little woman

by Karla   Nov 16, 2012

Will ever transcend your limited self
and maybe be more than some guy's symptom
as you deify all those rules somebody knows by heart?

If you can break all the paradigms
and prove me you can engender a new future,
I am likely to see more than your transparent dreams.

But as you remain giving birth to little joys
and simple leitmotivs, I am forced to be
squeezed in a cliche which doesn't diminish
the intensity of my being.

If you could empty yourself, poetry
would fill you up your sleepy spaces.
But as you continue attached
to your assumptions and presumptions,
your ego prevents you from drinking
my poetic bleeding warmth and convictions.

I half understand you. I have already had your age
some Novembers ago. Those I used to disdain
were the ones to whom I bowed in secret
as I faced my own incomprehension
and complexities during
my insomniac nights of lovely disruptions.
