To Love an Angel

by Craig Rose   Nov 16, 2012

Hail to you, sweet angel,
A bright light descended from the sky.
How much dimmer shall the stars shine,
Now that you have said your goodbyes?

With golden hair,
And sweet gorgeous eyes,
My sweet gorgeous prize,
Causing feelings to arise,
From behind my soul's pitiful disguise.

It's as though the Gods advise,
We reject all of the lies,
And find deep within each other,
Our greatest allies.

Others will despise,
And constantly imply,
That this "one and only love"
will be the cause of our demise

But forever we shall defy,
They jealousy gone awry,
And succumb,
To a love that never dies.
