I Have To Leave

by Craig Rose   Nov 16, 2012

A broken mirror,
Pieces scattered about the floor,
Lightbulbs burst,
It's not safe here anymore.
I need to get away,
Find a new place to stay,
Somewhere warmer,
A place to become stronger.

For far too long, your face has haunted me in all that I do.
I need to get away,
To get away from you.
You lied to me, and left me for dead.
I swear to you,
That one day the streets will run red,
Red with your blood and your mistruths.
When I am finished,
Then once again, I will need to get away,
Like I always do,
After it's all too late.

This gives me a nightmare feeling... running in the dark bare foot from the wicked creepy thing lurking in the dark! Love this piece... it had a lively rhythm to it.... very Nice Craig, and welcome :-)
