Rain

by Abbie   Nov 16, 2012

Everywhere the rain is falling,
through the air
brawling
on house and tree
on every little place that you can see
the raindrops go,
what can it be?
that makes the high wide heaven
weep so bitterly.

Great work, Abbie. Your daddy was right: you are indeed gifted:)

I love how you take a distance and describe the scene as if you were not a part of it..and the question is one I would not have expected from a girl your age.

    Well done, missy!

Abbie- I've read many pieces on rain, but none that lifted my spirits as much as this elegant piece did.. I love your rhyme pattern in the middle and end... it made the poem flow while reading... very pretty!
