The night descends and there you are, haunting me-
From hundreds of miles away and three
million memories that I had buried.

^ you have no idea how much I can relate to this part. It doesn't matter that they are no longer there, it feels as if they are right there and they take you back into the past. That box of memories you thought you had sealed comes springing open and it swallows you up. It is awful to experience and feels sometimes like it won't end. But it always stops eventually, so hold onto that.

Clutching the strings to my freedom,
you pull hard, until they snap.

- it feels as though as soon as we feel better and start to move on and perhaps get a taste of freedom, they remind us that they don't want us to be free and so we can feel them stopping this and like you say, clutch on until it snaps. Exactly where they want us to be.

I watch you swing out, far over the deep
ink of this black sea of nightmares.
The stars blink cold and empty against forever.
You won't let go-
And I'm twisting as my world seems to shrink.

- These last lines are so painful, especially to know this was your thoughts and feelings at the time fo writing it. It really expresses how helpless you feel when their control takes over your mind and what it is like. To never feel like you are free. I like the description of the sea of nightmares, the black ink, that imagery is so strong and dark and relates to exactly what it feels like to be in this horrible place.

I really related to this one, and all I can say is you are so strong and I know you can get through this. <3 xx
