Angel Tears

There is an angel that I know
and hold close to my heart.
Her fluffy wings as white as snow
offer comfort and bring warmth.
Her strength shines through in all she does
and it makes me feel so proud.
An angel's wings can always be cut
but you can never make her fall.
Her strength and courage will rise again
and she will fly once more.
You cannot defeat an angel
because her spirit will never give in.
Embracing those she loves with hugs
and never letting them go.
They are the reason she carries on
and the reason her heart still beats.

This beautiful angel that I know
has become so dear to me.
And now I have her in my life
I feel like I am free.
I sometimes hear her crystal tears
as they land upon her feathers.
She hopes the world will never see
the pain she feels inside.
But tears can hold such beauty
when they offer you release.
So to this angel in my heart
I offer you these words.
It's okay to cry your tears
for even angels fall.
Just know that I will be here
when I hear your tear drops call.
