Beautiful Stephen, I like how you symbolizes us as humans as trees. In all actuality man and trees have many similarities we grow just as a tree does and take in oxygen. I love how you use such a beautiful creation to tell a love story. Well done...

This poem, also, is like a tree, a tree with a strong structure and desirable form. :)

The poet titles the poem as "Serenity", a feeling of calmness or peace. Titling a poem as such, I think they only mean to convey that this is going to be an inspirational poem.

The tree has many representations throughout the poem, but in my opinion, and as obvious as it is, it means to finally suggest that we are like the trees and as we all know, trees prevent/reduce erosion, harmful land pollutants and flooding. The forest here signifies the unknown and the evil things that knock us off the path altogether.

The ending sums it up, peace is possible but only if we work together to achieve it. Same applies when it comes to dealing with our partners, too. Excellent piece!
