Cracked Ribs ( acrostic )

by Baby Rainbow   Nov 23, 2012

Crawling along the cold concrete ground
Realising I can't escape your shadow.
An almighty kick from your heavy shoe
Cracks my rib with it's routine performance.
Kicked right through from my bones to my heart
Each bruise appearing instantly in purple,
Dying my skin like a plum.

Reminded again not to tell a soul
In case I had forgotten.
But I have learned a lifetime lesson being
Silenced by your violence.

Violence tends to silence the pure heart... snuffing out the light within... your light is still burning, each time you write a piece such as this... heartbreaking and touching poem Saffie... you are precious <3

Omg this part is really touching, when you think how the physical pain is, then transfer it to the mental, it is really sad. Showed how close that person was to you.

    Awesome job:)
