Little kitty lost and alone
wonders how he got so far from home
Someone left him out in the rain
will he ever learn to trust again
Little kitty feeling neglected
broken-hearted, and rejected
Closes his eyes perchance to dream
about a home and a family
Then someone came by
thought they'd give kitty a try
Took him inside and gave him a home
now he doesn't have to be alone
Time went by and kitty stayed
forgetting the pain of yesterday
Just when he thought it was the end
is when he found his new friend
