Great title; it drew me right in. I love how you chose to write with this point of view, takes the reader into the whole scene. And the way you cut the lines gave this a more poignant, impacting tone, as do the simple choice of words.
Only thing I didn't quite like was the note in the end. You could get rid of it to make the reader interpret this on their own. Just a thought.
