I'm truly a blessed man!

I'm truly a blessed man!

While on a fishing boat fifty miles offshore in the
dark of night, I beheld the Milky Way and billions
of stars, to my delight!
Many years ago in the deep woods of Maine, while eating my lunch a bird came, a Canadian Jay was his name.
I had heard that hunters would feed them while on their way, this Jay drew near to me to stay.
When I offered him a piece of my apple, into my open hand he did come; not leaving until the eating of the apple was done.
He could have taken the apple and flew away but with me he chose to stay.
This reminded me of the Mocking Bird who into my garage did fly, he sat on my work bench, just looking me in the eye.

*Even the tiny finches to me do fly, is it because I'm the apple of God's eye?

Jesus loves the little children without a doubt, knowing him is what it's all about!
Everything is not beautiful; the world can be a hard place. Many do go to and fro with much haste, how many take the time to seek God's face?
It is a comfort to me to know that Jesus knows the burdens we bear, he has been there.
He knows about being weary and tired for on this earth he did trod, you can ask him to meet you anywhere, even in your backyard.

*In the Garden of Eden all the creatures were tame, when sin entered, their nature changed, fallen man to blame!

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 NLT

Great piece, Ken. I love the start when you write of the stars and the woods - I too love nature, and appreciate spending time in the woods. I spend a lot of time there on the pretense of walking my two dogs, but I'm not sure they're not walking me......
    All the very best,
    Ben
