Texas Cyclone

by Brandon N   Nov 27, 2012

The wind swifts down on a sweet Texas prarie,
the howling and swirling and the clouds are quit scary.
My cattle, they groan, and ease to the ground;
My horses, they tremble at the horrible sound.

I grab my family, and we enter the cellar
The building is shaking and nails have become loose
I feel as if my head is hanging upon a noose
My children are crying, my wife is in tears
Losing my family is the biggest of fears

But then a calm moment begans to pass,
I believe the twister is gone at last
We exit our shelter, and look at our home
The house is ok, my cattle is gone

I pick up the pieces, but thank God for my life
He saved me, my children, and my beautiful wife
A texas cyclone has a painful strife.
