The Donut (A love story)

by Blood of a Lion   Nov 28, 2012

Oh divine donut!
Melt in my mouth you moist succulent treat!
A bag for two dollars? MISTER!
Let me buy your donuts oh please,
And none of those day old ones 'kay?
Oh the taste!
No glaze, no haze!
Oh babe!
The taste!
Nibble...
Oh child, do you not have but a treat?
A bag for a day a week for just a treat.
I guess I can part with one such lovely dough flavored treat.
Let your mind wander as you bite, dip and lick.
Oh donut, you're mine so neat...
Oh...
Another child, do you not have a donut as well?
I suppose oh dear one I can part with another,
All is well still!
I still have four of the divine moist treats!
Oh lovely donut...
You are mine.

My brother and i read this together, we also laughed so much we cried. then he begged my mother to buy doughnuts for dinner. she read the poem said thats awesome and agreed. So as you can see, your poem really leaves an impression. Even though I think some of the lines were a bit closer to being weak than i would have liked this is still a wonderful piece. lol nicely penned.

This made me gol, doughnuts are amazing!
I bought a dozen from Krispy Kreme today and they are hiding in my car from my roommates. I, unlike you, do not share my doughnuts :)
