Once upon a time,
That's how it always goes,
Stories that are full of love,
Challenges and woes.
Well here... I have anohter,
To capture heart and mind.
Listen to my tale unfold,
As spools of thread unwind.
There was a lovely lady,
Quite beautiful and wild.
All she ever wanted,
Was a husband and a child.
There also was a man you see,
His soul an icy chill.
He only wished for warmth and love,
To feel his cold heart fill.
He caught a glimpse of lady,
So lovely, warm and sweet.
And knew he had to meet her,
For his world to feel complete.
She saw his loving glances,
And hoped it could be more,
What could the future hold for them?
What did it have in store?
One day they met for briefest moments,
While coming in and out.
They knew their fates were intertwined,
Of this, there was no doubt.
They knew their love would be a challenge,
So different were their worlds.
But the woman loved the man,
And man, he loved the girl.
They met the only time they could,
The only time allowed.
When he was coming in again,
And she was going out.
Their moments brief and fleeting,
But full of deepest passion.
They loved each other sweetly,
In their own unique fashion.
A word, a touch, a stolen kiss,
Was all time would allow.
And once, they took a moment,
To share a sacred vow.
They had two precious children,
That helped unite their worlds.
Autumn was their little boy,
And Spring, their lovely girl.
Spring was like her mother,
So warm and full of life.
Her father, Winter, loved her,
Cause she was like his wife.
Autumn, like his father,
Only gentler and more sweet.
He liked to blow your hair about,
Whip leaves around your feet.
His mother, Summer, loved him,
So very like his father.
He always followed after her,
But never was a bother.
Together they were happy.
Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring.
And when they work together,
Watch the wonders they can bring!
