Dead sleep

by Biancas Veil   Dec 2, 2012

Dead sleep
To full consciousness
These feelings are too intense, too much to take

Another thought?
or maybe a memory?
Still unsure what's happening I lay here awake

Patience dwindles
It's all starting again
This time I won't escape I am going to break

Unstable reflections
Like broken mirrors
My mind is distorted everything looks opaque

Slowly falling
Swallowed by the abyss
As i sit here paint my wrists it is too late

The word is 'macabre". i feel there's an attraction,in the poem,to things ghoulish like the darkness that is welcome by ghosts.dont you dare hurt yourself or im going to be cross with you.

    Such dread, such sadness!
Just reading this turns the soul gray!
    I like it!
