quilt and quiet.

^ Simple yet so, whats the word. .soothing?. .Soothing I guess. Gloomy as well.

If I had to put it in short, I'd say the author is enjoying solitude. The change of environment from a city to a country side, and the silence found cooped up in her bedroom, the most comfortable place for one. A temporary escape from the loop and lines of typical social conventions of life. A moment or two for her own.
