True Friends

by ornella   Dec 5, 2012

I can't believe you're leaving me
I never dreamed that this is how life would be
My best friend is moving to another state
I never thought this would have been her fate

Maybe I am selfish
But I can't help not to be
Because she is going
Slowly leaving me

We both have been the rock in our life's
But now things are changing
She's moving on with her life
I will miss her and everything

We grew up together living as best friends
Now she is getting married with her fiance Ken
Some time I wonder if this is all a dream
But reality hits and I realize this is for real

My other half whom I shared feelings and pain
Is really leaving but am happy all the same
She will always be my very best friend
Although she's running way with that man Ken.

Awesome write Ornella! I loved it and I do relate to it. It's very sorrowful your best friend is leaving.
My only point is the last line "Although she running way with that man Ken" if I'm not mistaken, should read "Although she's running away with that man Ken"
    Nice work.
