These words just make me want to hug you. I can sense the pain and how hard it must be to be in this situation.

I stand surrounded in solitude,
as the rest of the world bustles by,
deeply saddened, exhaling an arduous sigh
despondent grief is reflected in my mood.

- I can imagine how alone this must feel to go through and how much you really wish you didnt have to do this. Your word choice is so powerful and explains the true pain of which is inside of you.

Impetuous waves of denial leave me subdued,
my heart cannot fathom telling her goodbye,
I stand surrounded in solitude,
as the rest of the world bustles by.

- The denial... it shows how you would do anythign to make this not true, not happen. To wake up and it all just be a bad dream. You can't even begin to understand how to say goodbye so your heart tries to deny you have to. :( all the while everyone else goes on with their lives while you experience this pain.

I've no choice but to comply
unable to comprehend why,
reality feels skewed,
I stand surrounded in solitude.

- this ending is so moving, so lonely and numb and hopeless. Defeated by what has to be. I am just so glad you are able to write some of this out.
