Surge Snow Queen

I look into your dark brown eyes
gazing into mine as you pick me up
and hold me tightly against your chest.

You look through the small glass window
and see the white snow lying peacefully
upon the fairytale path I gently stand on.

Through your dull eyes I can see your pain
and all the memories you wish were alive;
for you to be with me one more time.

Your crystal tears fall like December's snow flakes,
floating softly down your cheeks and through the winter air
with no one to catch them as they land.

I can feel your heart slowly sinking
like heavy footprints in the delicate snow,
waiting for a Christmas miracle of magic.

Laying down slowly upon your feather pillow,
you tip me upside down as I follow your arms
which are embracing your body with comfort.

You whisper ever so softly in an angel's voice:
" I love you and wish you were here"
as your tears turn into melting icicles.

What I loudly whisper back is :
" I am already here, in every tear drop that you cry
and in every thought you have of me"

Glancing down to hear my voice, you open your hands
to reveal the snow globe you have been caressing
and you watch the scene before you come alive.

I am the statue that stands inside which you
wake up with each gentle shake you give me
before you hug me close at night.

I am still here and have always been,
you just have to close your eyes and
feel me wrap my love around you.

I see the sparkle return in your glowing eyes
as you drift off into a peaceful dream
with me right by your side

... just like I will always be.
