Thoughts of love
in spouts of fire embers
molds hate and shame and misery
to appologys of surrender
his face alone
a soul unknown
to all but not to me
my weary sighs
my bone dried cries
are hushed with check to check
flames do burn on my heart
to feel, to move, to breathe
it holds the pain hurt and shame
that loves unfortunately brings
keeping alive his memory
and all that dwells within
keeping alive his memory
and all that dwells within
lips speaking with such certainty
dipped in a touch of sin
