Love before Life

by Reverence   Dec 9, 2012

O'days O'days you've grown long with grief
O'nights O'nights you've grown short with misery
If I could have but a portion of what once was.
Hell if only fire let it come
And if heaven offers not you, then pass

If only If only the loved found the lost
If only If only death could come swiftly
Why have a heart if just meant to break?
Why love if meant to lose?
How many tears must I shed?

O'God O'God why is there pain?
O'Lord O'Lord Please. Please save me
Take my soul, Reaper, for I have no use for it.
Send me to purgatory for that is where I belong
Set me afire so I can't feel this pain

Like a summers day that has turned to winter,
My love once warmed by you has drawn cold
