My Dying Day

by Amber Gail   Jun 30, 2004

I've learned many things
these past couple years
I've learned to express myself
and confront my fears

I've learned most of all
that you'll never know when's your last day
It could be twenty years down the road
or it could be today

So whether you hate or love me
There's something I need to say
Every single one of you
have made me who i am today

And since no one knows
when God will call our name
I want you to know that I love all of you
and i hopefully you feel the same

Never wait for tomorrow
for today might be our last
Always look forward to the future
but never forget your past

Please understand why
I'm sending you this today
I want to make sure
that you know everything i need to say

Every single one of you
have touched my life one way or another
Some of you I consider my closest sisters
and some my big brother

I wouldn't make it through life
without you by my side
You made me face reality
when all i wanted to do was hide

Never forget who you are
and what you mean to me
I owe my life to all of you
and I'll love you for eternity

Some of you
will just throw this away
and ignore everything
that i have to say

But hopefully some of you
will take it to heart
and know that every word in here
came from the bottom of my heart

So please tell one each other
how much you really care
because unfortunately
someday they won't be there
