Between Home and I-65

by Hannah Lizette   Dec 13, 2012

Somewhere between home and I-65,
I found you.

Sirens screamed and thunder clashed,
but all I heard was your soothing voice,
a voice I haven't heard in eleven years.

Between twisted metal and leather restraints,
all I felt was your comforting embrace,
encouraging me to stay awake,
promising me that I was going to be okay.

Your motherly instinct always kicks in
when I need you most.

Somewhere between home and I-65,
I found you again, Mother -
my guardian angel.

Hannah, this piece touched me in so many ways.. To start, the message describes a tragic event on I-65, such as a car accident... the fear can be felt throughout this piece and it's so elegantly written, I automatically felt peace and comfort.

To have the presence of your mother there for you, the loving spirit, just left me speechless and tearful. The love of a mother is always present, and a true, comforting guardian angel. What a beautiful and creative, heartfelt piece this is... Very precious piece!

Near death experiences are pretty frightening but at the same time, they make you think about life in a different way...
I cannot imagine how scary being in an accident like this is, but I know what it's like to be kept away from the light but a loved one already there, its a strange feeling, being so close the death, to heaven and wanting to be with the angels you miss but also knowing they'll be waiting when the time is right.

Keep writing such beautiful pieces, the emotion and the soul in this piece is so special, and the whole write was intriguing but inspiring.

    all the best, Tara
