Station

by Thomas   Dec 13, 2012

The giant has met
the treasure he wants to protect
Keep her safe, her close
Eye to eye, nose to nose
Lips frequently touching
same motions stuck on repeat
Emotions racing down veins
from head to feet
Leave passion for later,
put it in incubation
Keep it decent inside
the halls of this railway station
Where we sit and stare
at each others eyes and features
Not minding any
of passing by creatures
Time has come, train is here
for now I say goodbye
Knowing that you'll return
my treasure mine

So, the way I interpret this is this is a couple who has lust pulsating at the moment, they are in a railway station and have to put their feelings aside for now. One has to leave but know that they will meet again soon and will resume back to the passion they felt.

One can read this poem as one entire sentence, assisted by some form of paraphrasing, which i believe gives it more character; which interestingly relates to the emotional attachment presented throughout. Loved it.
