Sailor's Angel

by Jack Nightengale   Dec 13, 2012

I am a Sailor in the United States Navy,
Through the good and the bad, my Angel watches over me.
My Angel wields a trident attached to a spear,
My Angel is always looking over me, so I have nothing to fear.

On the ship away from home, out at sea,
I always look forward because my Angel is always with me.
Protecting me, keeping me safe, free from all harm,
My Angel guards me at call seas and the heaviest storms.

Through the calls of battle and the sound of alarms,
My Angel is always there for me with calm open arms.
Though at times I feel weak and afraid,
My Angel gives me courage, strength, and always comes to my aid.

My Angel has no name nor a face,
When I am in need my Angel Fights beside me with grace.
At night when I sleep, my angel guards me,
Whether I am at home or at sea.

When under enemy fire, in times of need,
My Angel encourage's me to lead.
When the time comes to celebrate and we bring out the ale,
I toast to my troops and every Sailor's Angel.
