Beyond A Storm

by Tina   Dec 14, 2012

You are like the ocean
I can watch for hours
I never get over, keeping a single step behind
I want to explore, I want to be at the bottom
Though I know it is too hard to get there
Too complex to understand
Too dark to see through
Too cold to feel
Too hard to catch
But still
I'm not scared
I know I can survive
Because there's that love in my blood
You created inside my veins and they flood
You are that deep thing I never want to leave
I'm never being able to free my mind from remembering
Though how rude you are beyond me
And how you are changing your motions
I still watch you
I am a tiny creature before you
They say I'll get hurt
Because you are not the kind who stops
Like a wave in the ocean
You keep moving
To the shores and then to far horizon
Like you stopped by me and then suddenly left
But least you can take me away can't you?
To that bottom in your next turn
I know you are strong
But keep in mind
I've heard
When the oceans meet with storms to fight
They do quietly cry...

I like your use of the ocean in this poem. The first line is very simple but very striking, very good choice in doing that. The ending is awesome, enough said bout that, just awesome. A great poem.
