Through my Conical Prism (Chained Haiku)

by Khalid M Darwish   Dec 14, 2012

Cotton fog pillows -
I see your long embracing
Through the cone faces

Pearly dew traces -
Condense on your cheeks and nose
As those on green leaves

You cry, fog reply -
Secretion-condensation
Pure tears-dew mixture

The moon and your eyes -
Twins enlightening dark skies
Curing my blindness

The subject was unclear to me, but this is pleasant to read. After reading several times, I liked the imagery and the feel.

Khalid, there is just one little thing, I am unsure of whether this should be a Chained/String Senryu, as Haiku's are based more around nature and this seems to be a little shy of the criteria.

However, this is dark and captivating, very unique and creative and the wording is really awesome. The rhymes which I felt were so smooth and incorporated as almost accidentally.

    Awesome write Khalid!

Khalid...what can I say about this other than it's BEAUTIFUL!!!

It has so much going on...rhyme in certainly places...internal rhyme in others and it all blended so well together that it just blew me out the water!

Fantastic imagery..terrific word usage...just had everything going for it....definately, you have outdone yourself with this one...Stunning piece!!!

    * I used to call these chain haikus also until someone, who is no longer on this site, told me they should be called string haiku but....I'm really not sure....just thought I'd mention this....ask around, I'm sure someone will be able to advise you more than I can....

Goodness this is a really creative Haiku. I love the beginning of each individual haiku, the way you started them off. The entire thing is really well written though.
