Moments And Minutes

by You Can Speak But I Can Rhyme   Dec 17, 2012

If you ever look in the mirror, just plainly smile;
It's a wish I wish, make it true for a while;
If you place your hand on my shoulder, I will never fall;
I will rest in your arms forever, my love I'll give it all...

It's a cold night, the winds whisper soundly;
You sit by the window, the smile you wear profoundly;
I remember, I sat by that place looking for a glimpse;
Love after all, I was blessed to be your prince...

The craze and the feeling I used to get sometimes;
Every night of everyday when the clock struck nine;
I'd follow you and up ahead, you'd wait for me;
Together we walked, hand in hand a sight so lovely...

Those ten minutes felt like an endless moment;
Talks so little, with your smile, the weather so pleasant;
I would hold your hand for one last time that night;
As I kiss you goodbye, look up it's yet another twilight...

Even though it's all over, thoughts come back to December;
I can't help it, this is who I am, for I am a dreamer;
It's all in the back of my mind, that's what I write;
All those memories, onto paper read and recite...
