The Wicked World

by Brandon N   Dec 17, 2012

In today's world, that which we dwell
is the demons from some kind of hell
and the murder, and rape, and torture still grows

Centuries, so long ago
No trace of a savior, just death under the mistletoe.

Approaches us, the holidays
and yet it brings us theft, greed, and gluttony
Gobbling down that pecan pie,
you shoplifted that ipon for your cousin Ty

Fighting in lines at stores with toys,
trying to get the best deals for your children's joys

Speeding around, endangering people
I bet you'd sit on the steeple,
pretending to be some kind of superhero...
how does that make you feel?
The fact that you'd almost kill... people on the road,
so your son will get a load.. of goodies

It's a wicked world we live in,
full of disgusting hate and hypocrite sins
and that baptist church that protests funerals... give me a break?
aren't they so fake... Jesus will let them bake... in Hell
