Masquerade

by Maple Tree   Dec 18, 2012

She tip toed
in elegance,
prancing, masked
in peacock feathers;

A jeweled lover
always looks her
best, when waiting
in the rain of a somber
sky.

The saucy flame of his
monotone whispers
mixes with the sultry
taste, of a crisp
breeze.

He calms the quivers
from her wanting waste,
slowly cascades her
in a silent waltz of
conversation.

They glide in the night
of a lover's masquerade ~

I really enjoy a good love poem and relish in their content.
In your first stanza, I am not sure but I think peacock together would be more appropriate.

    A jeweled lover
    always looks her
    best,when waiting
in cool rains of a somber
    sky

    Third stanza perfect

    He calms the quivers
    of her wanton ways,
    slowly cascading her
    in a silent waltz
    of conversation.

    They glide in the night;
    a lover's masquerade.

    This is an awesome Poem

Such beauty in this piece, Andrea, it made me feel so warm and calm but the essence of a little sadness also made me tear up a little, the combination in this piece is perfect.

Love it!! and ya know I love you
